Modern children’s room: design ideas and rules

When talking about modern design, everyone imagines something different, and this is absolutely normal, since contemporary and related trends do not have strict visual canons.

The room can be decorated minimalistically, with an abundance of decor or in a bright palette – the main thing is to adhere to the basic principles and general approach to organizing the space.

Convenience and safety. This principle is very simple: the interior is for living, and not vice versa. The environment is created not for a beautiful picture, but so that it is comfortable to be in the room every day. For children, this concept includes not only household convenience, but also safety: both materials and all structures in general.

Functionality. Even if you do not decorate the space in a minimalist style, it still underlies any modern trend. There should not be too many things, each item is needed for something, and if it is also multifunctional, then this is doubly good. Ideally, even the decor should be applicable in practice: for example, a neon sign acts as a local backlight, beautiful boxes on the table – an organizer for office supplies, etc.

Visual comfort. We live in an era of abundance of information, including visual, so the brain and eyes should rest at home. This is especially important for children, whose psyche is very active and hyper-excitable. Therefore, the recreation area should not have acidic unnatural shades and too colorful patterns.

Environmental friendliness. Now, environmental friendliness is important in the design of any room. No cheap plastic, peeling harmful paint and cheap linoleum. It is not necessary to use only natural materials, but all of them, be it decoration or furniture, should be of high quality, safe for health, hypoallergenic.

Consider these rules when decorating a child’s bedroom.
